The Creative Renovations team is made up of highly experienced individuals specializing in design and construction services. We have provided services to clients in Central Ohio since 1992, currently completing over 300 renovation projects per year. We are passionate about designing and implementing innovative, custom solutions for a convenient, comfortable and accessible lifestyle at home.
Our “Creative” process is one that leaves no stone unturned! We work individually with each homeowner in order to identify and tend to their ideas and needs. We understand that building a home to meet your specific needs or making the decision to renovate your home to meet your expanding needs is not an easy decision. As a homeowner, you can rely on our partnership throughout your accessibility endeavors.

The “CREATIVE” Process
Step 1 - Onsite Assessment:
§ A senior construction manager will meet with each client onsite.
§ The client shall identify his/her individual accessibility needs, scheduling needs and budgetary constraints.
§ The senior construction manager will request additional insight with regards to the client’s everyday lifestyle.
§ Together, the client and senior construction manager will identify immediate and potential future accessible needs and assess the challenges of the existing home.
§ The senior construction manager will provide initial recommendations for home renovations to address the client’s needs.
§ This process may last as little as an hour or require multiple meetings. Creative Renovations will devote the time necessary to reach a clear understanding of the client’s needs and the renovations required for the home.
Step 2 - Scope of Work:
§ Upon agreement of the direction for the home renovations, Creative Renovations will develop a comprehensive scope of work for the project.
§ The scope of work will provide the client and the Creative Renovations team an indication of the strategic direction for the renovation or “new build” project.
§ The scope of work will identify the construction components of the project.
§ In some cases, the scope of may require some changes because the client’s needs changed or simply, because of an oversight during initial onsite assessment.
§ The scope of work may serve as a reference tool for clients during the architectural design phase and during construction.
Step 3 - Design Phase:
§ Creative Renovations’ in-house design team will create drawings to illustrate the ideas and concepts identified in the scope of work.
§ The client will have the opportunity to review the drawings, ask question and make comments.
§ The client retains ownership of the completed drawings for use with Creative Renovations’ or with another construction group.
Step 4 – Pre-Construction Phase
§ Creative Renovations will provide the client with anticipated project costs.
§ The project will go through the local or county building permitting process as required.
§ Creative Renovations and the client will finalize project costs and schedule for construction.
Step 5 – Construction Management Phase:
§ We collaborate with a long list of approved vendors and partners.
§ We will monitor the construction process so that the project meets the quality and schedule expected by the client.
§ Upon substantial completion, the senior construction manager and client will perform an onsite assessment of the work to identify any unresolved matters.
§ Any unresolved matters will be addressed in a timely manner.
Step 6 – The Creative Renovations Promise & Warranty
§ Creative Renovations will provide the client with an Owner’s Manual, which will consist of any permits issued, vendor/partner names and contact information, manufacturer’s literature relating to the project, and any other pertinent information.
§ Creative Renovations will provide a one-year warranty on every renovation or “new build” project.
